This classic, true top-cropping yeast from Germany will exhibit some to the fruity character of an ale with a clean lager-like profile. This yeast can also produce quick-conditioning pseudo-lager beers and ferments well at the lower temp range. Detectable diacetyl is low to none. This strain requires filtration of additional setting time to produce bright beers.

Good with: Kolsch, American Wheat, Cream Ale, Berliner Weisse, Biere de Garde, Altbier, International Amber Lager. Fruit beers, Spiced Beers, Wheat wine
